Overview

The Flash II has got to be one of the coolest knives we've ever seen. Forget its wicked-quick blade access, that it handles like a race car on rails, or that it locks up like Alcatraz. It just looks and feels extraordinary. The Flash family of knives feature SOG Assisted Technology (S.A.T.), which employs a powerful piston lock that is easily released with a sliding button.

Description

The Flash II has got to be one of the coolest knives we've ever seen. Forget its wicked-quick blade access, that it handles like a race car on rails, or that it locks up like Alcatraz. It just looks and feels extraordinary. The Flash family of knives feature SOG Assisted Technology (S.A.T.), which employs a powerful piston lock that is easily released with a sliding button.
The Flash II (Straight edge) comes standard with glass-reinforced nylon (GRN) handle and straight edge, Satin finish blade. All Flash knives come standard with SOG's patent pending, reversible bayonet mounted clip that ensures the lowest, most discreet carry possible. We also had the foresight to incorporate an additional safety lock that gives added security when the blade is closed.

    SOG Assisted Technology

    SOG Assisted Technology

SOG Assisted Technology (S.A.T.) works through the balance of opposing high-tension coil springs. As you initiate the opening action, the force propelling your blade open becomes greater than the force keeping it closed. The result is a blade that springs open instantly once it is engaged, seemingly on its own.

Customer Ratings & Reviews

Flash II is rated 4.7857 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great knife for everyday use I bought this knife to replace a beloved Kershaw blade that I lost. At first I was worried about the thinner than I'm used to blade, but it was short lived. The blade holds an even edge. So far I really like this knife.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect balance! Ive had my SOG Flash 2 for over a year now. I love this knife. I took it scuba diving in Hawaii, and broke the lock mechanism off. I shipped it back to SOG and they repaired it and shipped it back to me free of charge!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Knife This is a great knife for EDC. It is the perfect size with a sharp blade that holds a edge well. If you are able to wear this knife SOG stands behind all of their products with excellent customer service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great knife weak pocket clip I have owned this Flash II for about a year now and the only problem I have with it is the pocket clip is weak and bends easily other than that it is a great knife.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Knife Bought this a few years ago and glad I did. Fits in my pocket nicely. Blade opens in a flash with my thumb. I like the blade lock feature. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a general knife to carry around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best EDC I have found I'm on my second Flash II, and don't think you can go wrong with it. The knife is very EDC friendly with a deep pocket clip, it looks like a pen clipped to my pocket. The Blade shape is great with a lot of real estate to work with for various cutting needs, especially the last inch or so for fine work. I am a novice blade sharpener but i get hair splitting shark pretty easily, and it holds it's edge well. To be honest, I abuse the heck out of this thing, and hardly ever go a day without it. The days carry something else like my Blur or AK-47 or even my assortment of leathermans, I miss this peppy little knife.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flash 2 review I bought mine 4 years ago and use it daily. Easy to open and fits well in my pocket with the clip. Clip can be changes for right or left pocket use. It's light weight and very durable. I will carry this knife for the rest of my life unless I upgrad to a different SOG product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect Medium sized knife I purchased this along with another small knife. My Trident was just too big to carry around in my pocket. This & the other one were perfect size for my pocket & jackets. I used it for almost everything until I left it somewhere at work & it was such a nice knife it didn't make its way back to me.

    SOG Warranty Information

All SOG products are guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials for the life of the original purchaser. This guarantee is voided (as determined by SOG) by misuse, abuse, improper maintenance, or alterations of the product and does not cover any normal wear or tear that might occur. SOG Unconditional Pocket Clip Warranty

Pocket clips can be broken if they are accidentally caught on foreign objects while wearing. To help prevent such occurrences, SOG recommends that you wear your knife in your front pocket, with the knife inside your pocket. If, for whatever reason, your clip bends or breaks and you would like to receive a replacement, fill out the Clip Request Form, or email/call SOG's warranty department. Damage to a knife handle because a clip has snagged is not considered "normal," and any such damage will be assessed under warranty. Learn more about replacing pocket clips in Knife & Tool Care.
