The SOG Trident uses our well-proven means of delivering a knife blade to the open position with S.A.T. What also makes the Trident so unique is the patent pending Groove in the handle, which allows the operator to cut paracord, fishing line, etc. without having to open the blade. The handle also includes a Digi-Grip variable pattern for coarser grip in areas that require it. Our bayonet style clip is easily switched for right/left hand carry or removed for pouch storage.

    Tester Review:

I had an opportunity to test the SOG Trident Folder knife. This knife is flat out awesome. It has a great design. Finger grips, belt clip, lanyard hole, safety latch and the S.A.T. which practically opens the knife for you once you start the motion. The safety gives you the comfort of knowing the knife will not open on you by accident but is positioned and marked in red for quick deployment. It also has a cutting grove which worked great. I tried it on some webbing and a seat belt and it went through with no problem. My particular knife had a tiger stripe blade which just set off the knife.

I would recommend this knife to anyone. It is one of the best I have seen.

    SOG Assisted Technology

    SOG Assisted Technology

SOG Assisted Technology (S.A.T.) works through the balance of opposing high-tension coil springs. As you initiate the opening action, the force propelling your blade open becomes greater than the force keeping it closed. The result is a blade that springs open instantly once it is engaged, seemingly on its own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great knife My girlfriend got me this knife for Christmas last year along with a sog sharpener. I had a black one first which I loved a s lost it and now I had the digi camo knife and it's a great tool and holds a wicked edge. I tried a Benchmade and I'm not crazy about the pocket clip and the steel. Sogs are worth the money. R lee wouldn't approve junk lol

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Knife I Have Ever Owned I have been carrying this knife for about 5 years. It holds a nice sharp edge and is easy to open and close. I have given several of these knives to friends as gifts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first SOG!!! Because SOG has been my favorite for at least 17 years, when I first saw the Trident in an Advertisement in American Handgunner.  I found one for sale at a gun shop in Marmet, WV and bought 2 at $85 each.  Loved SOG ever since!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I want in a every day carry! I've had my SOG Trident for about two years now. I use it at least five times a week and the quality is outstanding! The only thing I would change is the fact that the pocket clip becomes loose every few months or so. This is the only knife I've found that I like well enough to carry for more than a week at a time. I also like the fact that SOG stands out on the pocket clip so everyone can see that I have a SOG with it in my pocket. My favorite thing about my SOG is the ease and quickness of opening! I'm definitely a fan and I will be purchasing another SOG in the future!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best folding knife that that I bought. I bought this knife 10 years ago and it is just as good as the first day that I bought it. When you open the blade with the thumb stud it pops open with authority, when the blade is open there is no side to side wobble or any other moment , no fear of the blade closing on yourself. The checkering on the sides of the handle provides a good grip. The cord cutter is a nice bonus.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok product I bought this knife a little over a year ago, and have had nothing but problems with it. The tip broke, I sent it back to the company and had to go through the ringer to get it fixed. It has never kept a sharp edge on it. I can hone it everyday, and still will not hold an edge. I hope to find another SOG product later that is more durable. I like SOG's products but this one is not worth the money.
