There is no personality that better defines competitive bass fishing today than Mike Iaconelli; His energy, talent and dedication are primary drivers contributing to the growth of the sport. We here at SOG are delighted to have Mike as our partner and look forward to combining his knowledge and insight into bass fishing with our experience in design to develop knives and tools that will enhance both the experience and success of those who share a passion for bass fishing. Like our brand, Mike is authentic. With his guidance, we’re excited to be increasing our presence in the bass fishing world.

Iaconelli has been fishing his entire life and was introduced to competitive bass fishing upon graduating high school. In 1994, he won the 1994 B.A.S.S. Top 100 as an amateur and while still in college. Among his many championships and tournament titles, Iaconelli was the 2003 Bassmaster Classic Champion, 2006 Bass Angler of the Year and last year took second place in the Bassmaster Classic. The author of Fishing on the Edge (Random House, 2006), he is the star and host of “City Limits Fishing” on Versus television.

Mike Iaconelli enjoys fishing on numerous lakes, reservoirs, and rivers throughout the country; He spends approximately 200 days a year on the water. When not fishing, Mike enjoys guiding part-time, writing fishing articles, designing lures, and participating in numerous fishing shows and seminars throughout the year.
