Description

The SOG Trident uses our well-proven means of delivering a knife blade to the open position with S.A.T. (SOG Assisted Technology) Now using our patent pending Arc-Actuator, the Trident locks stronger and releases easier. There is also a built-in safety to lock the blade closed. When it shows red, you are ready to go.

What also makes the Trident so unique is the patent pending Groove in the handle, which allows the operator to cut paracord, fishing line, etc. without having to open the blade. The handle also includes a Digi-Grip variable pattern for coarser grip in areas that require it. Our bayonet style clip is easily switched for right/left hand carry or removed for pouch storage.

Technologies

  •

    SOG Assisted TechnologyTM

SOG Assisted Technology (S.A.T.) works through the balance of opposing high-tension coil springs. As you initiate the opening action, the force propelling your blade open becomes greater than the force keeping it closed. The result is a blade that springs open instantly once it is engaged, seemingly on its own.

  • Customer Ratings & Reviews

Trident - Straight, Tanto, Black TiNi is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 259.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful knife Bought this for my son who will use it in the Scouts program. He loves it. The only complaint is that it was very tight to begin with and we had to add a drop of oil to loosen the mechanism that opens the blade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality made knife One of the best purchases I have made onthe last few years. I carry it everywhere I go. I purchased one for my wife to carry while she trail rides with her horse and she loves it. Well worth the price I paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the knife! I have owned this knife for about two years now and is my everyday user. Unfortunately the thumb stud came off and I cant seem to find a replacement part for it, but other then that I have no complains about it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid knife I have owned this knife for almost five years and have used it a lot. EDC is not legal here in Norway but, as I use it for work, I do carry it most days. Pros: The action is quick and it is easy to deploy. The safety is a nice feature. This knife has been through some serious work in my hands but remains solid. The handle is easy to maintain grip on in the cold. Life: The blade is very sharp when new but, after cutting Kevlar-based line, I have struggled to keep it as sharp as it was when I got it. Even so, performance after the abuse I have put it through is admirable. Cons: The cut-out in the handle for strap and line cutting is tantamount to useless. I would deploy the blade and take my chances in an emergency situation as the geometry of the "belt cutter" is pretty whack. The blade just does not come up far enough to do much (on the tanto, at least) to justify the feature. There are other tools for that job that work way, way better (i.e., a dedicated strap/rope cutter). Still, this knife rocks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect As a martial art master of over 37 years I would recommend this knife as a constant carry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it Have been carrying it everyday for almost a year and it is a great tool

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Christmas Gift! I've had this knife nearly a year now as a daily user. I've sheared wood, cut paper just a few things. It's still as sharp as when my brother tossed it to my for a Christmas gift. The Tip to this day & the partially Serrated are sharp as a fresh razor.
