Building upon SOG’s long tradition of honoring Japanese knife makers, SOG and Kiku Matsuda, one of the most famous blade grinders in Japan, collaborated to produce this line of Kiku Folders. After decades of experience in blade grinding and making fixed blade knives, Matsuda, with the production assistance from SOG, designed and created his first folding knife. As one of the foremost tactical knife designers in Japan, Matsuda and SOG have won awards on collaborations before with the SOG Kiku Fixed Blade. The elegant linen micarta handle is rugged and easy to clean, while the AUS-8 stainless steel blade is set up for years of reliable service.

Customer Ratings & Reviews

Kiku - Black - Large Folding Knife is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality, intuitive, unique I purchased the large Kiku folding for my friend's Xmas present. After receiving it, I was loathe to part with it. He loves it: super smooth action, the grip is comfortable in any direction held. The blade is beautiful, solid, sharp out of the box, and highly versatile. A+. I wish that there were more made!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Alarming I bought this knife probably 8 months ago and am still in love. This knife is fantastic, does everything I want it to with exceptional ability. That being said, if you're looking for an everyday carry, and want to not be gawked at this is probably not going to be your first choice. The looks I get from non-knife people are incredulous at best, but everyone I know who likes knifes wants one immediately. As a person with small hands this knife can take a while to get used to, but in no way is it to large to handle. As with anything you get used to the size and really appreciate the big blade. All in all fantastic quality and definitely worth the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All around great! I have had a SOG of one type or another for years. It's just part of my daily attire, and I'm not about to change that. I have never replaced one as a result of wear and tear, in fact my favorite dates back to 1997 for sentimental reasons. My latest edition is the Kiko folder. It's nothing less than fantastic, from the smooth action, sharpness out of the box, and daily carry comfort whether in jeans, slacks, or bdu's. I love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My first and last By far the longest lasting pocket knife I've ever had. The tip is very strong stabs and prying. But the curve of the blade does wear a little far for me and I find it a little hard to sharpen. Then the body of the blade is esy to sharpen and holds the edge very well when cuting rope and wires. The handle fits right in the hand even when wet and mud is present. Last but not less the belt clip is amazing easily deployable and flicks out and ready to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What an awesome blade It is the most money I have ever spent on a folder and it was worth every penny! I recently lost the knife and have another ordered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth action I am a knife collector and have a lot of high end quality folders. But the feel and smooth opening of this knive and the beautiful shaped blade makes this my personal favorite. For a large folder the blade deploys fast and smooth. Handle feels really comfortable in my hand and has a good grip. Sog and Kiku did a excellent job with this knife.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from That's not a knife, THIS is a knife Bought this knife after handling it at SHOT show. She is a beast. The blade is massive and she is no lightweight. The complex grind is a thing of beauty and she cuts with a beautiful shearing action because of the belly. I have very large hands as I am a very large man so it fits my hand perfectly, be aware if you don't have vaguely sasquatch like proportions, this blade may be a bit on the big side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well thought out tactical grip I was hesitant to buy this based only on a picture because the grip seemed pretty “rough” for an everyday carry knife. Now that I get it in my hand I am truly impressed with the thought and design effort put into this handle. Literally any way you grab this knife, 2 or 3 of those indentations align with your fingers making a much stronger grip. This is what makes it a great tactical design for a knife. I don’t do reviews unless I am extremely impressed, and this knife impresses me.
