Description

The SOG Trident uses our well-proven means of delivering a knife blade to the open position with S.A.T. (SOG Assisted Technology) Now using our patent pending Arc-Actuator, the Trident locks stronger and releases easier. There is also a built-in safety to lock the blade closed. When it shows red, you are ready to go.

What also makes the Trident so unique is the patent pending Groove in the handle, which allows the operator to cut paracord, fishing line, etc. without having to open the blade. The handle also includes a Digi-Grip variable pattern for coarser grip in areas that require it. Our bayonet style clip is easily switched for right/left hand carry or removed for pouch storage.

    Tester Review:

I had an opportunity to test the SOG Trident Folder knife. This knife is flat out awesome. It has a great design. Finger grips, belt clip, lanyard hole, safety latch and the S.A.T. which practically opens the knife for you once you start the motion. The safety gives you the comfort of knowing the knife will not open on you by accident but is positioned and marked in red for quick deployment. It also has a cutting grove which worked great. I tried it on some webbing and a seat belt and it went through with no problem. My particular knife had a tiger stripe blade which just set off the knife.

I would recommend this knife to anyone. It is one of the best I have seen.

    SOG Assisted Technology

    SOG Assisted Technology

SOG Assisted Technology (S.A.T.) works through the balance of opposing high-tension coil springs. As you initiate the opening action, the force propelling your blade open becomes greater than the force keeping it closed. The result is a blade that springs open instantly once it is engaged, seemingly on its own.

Customer Ratings & Reviews

Trident is rated 4.8072 out of 5 by 166.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from My everyday go to knife! I've owned a trident for a few years now. I use it in everyday carry for Law Enforcement - Search and Rescue. The blade holds an edge very well and over-all the light-weight Trident continues to prove itself as a durable and valued tool. The seatbelt/para-cord cutting slot is especially useful. I've given two of these to co-workers over a year ago and they still carry the trident almost daily. The only addition I would suggest is to add a carbide glass breaking tip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Knike ever owned, from a amateur collector This is the best knife for fast access to a blade. It's not super fast opening but just enough to get out quick enough when you need it. One of the sharpest knives ever owned coming from a amateur collector with over a 150 knife collection. Bigger, stronger, faster than the Kershaw Leek. Love the full length handle and grip, if you have big hands this comes in handy. The quick rope cut design is awesome for cutting paracord if your a avid hunter using a tree climber stand. I would not leave home without this knife, and yes I would and have recommended it to many many friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Blade I like the feel and the fact that you have a closed space that can cut my fishing line without opening the knife up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great multi use knife I've had my trident for as long as they have been available. It goes everywhere I can take it. It is easy to sharpen, holds an edge fairly well, and the assist open is just as strong as it was when new. I did have the pocket clip break off, but SOG mailed me a new one for free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trident- Great Knife! My Trident is my EDC. Whether used in the outdoors or urban adventures, this knife is always ready for action! The SOG Assisted Open is extremely fast and smooth, ready to be pressed into service. I hold it in the highest regard and it has my well deserved respect.

Pocket clips can be broken if they are accidentally caught on foreign objects while wearing.
